Imagine Entertainment and Wattpad WEBTOON Studios Announce “Love Advice from The Great Duke of Hell” Film Adaptation
Cody Blue Snider is Attached to Write the Script Based on the Hit WEBTOON with Over 160 Million Views
LOS ANGELES AND TORONTO - November 20, 2023 - Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine Entertainment and Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, the fan-driven global entertainment and publishing arm for WEBTOON and Wattpad, today announced “Love Advice from the Great Duke of Hell,” a film adaptation of unfins’ WEBTOON digital comic sensation. Cody Blue Snider (“All That Remains,” “Fool’s Day”) is attached to pen the live-action adaptation.
The genre-bending “Love Advice from the Great Duke of Hell” is a Ringo Award nominee with more than 160 million global views on WEBTOON. The comic follows Paul, a hapless high-schooler madly in love with “the girl next door.” After mistakenly summoning The Great Duke of Hell, Astaroth, Paul offers his soul in exchange for winning his love interest’s heart. Unfortunately, Astaroth turns out to be just as clueless as Paul in the art of love.
Imagine will produce with Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, with Karen Lunder and Allan Mandelbaum overseeing for Imagine Entertainment, and Aron Levitz, David Madden and Lindsey Weems Ramey overseeing for Wattpad WEBTOON Studios.
