Wattpad To Be Available on the New Amazon Kindle Fire

Wattpad is excited to announce that the Wattpad app will be available for free on the Amazon Kindle Fire when the new tablet launches on November 15th.

On the Wattpad app, Amazon Kindle Fire users will discover a unique form of entertainment where everyone can interact and share stories across text, video, images and through conversations with other readers and writers.

Over 1 Million users download Wattpad apps every month, and, to date, Wattpad is one of the most downloaded eReading apps, with users spending 160 Million minutes on the Wattpad Android app in the last thirty days, double the amount two months ago.

“The hugely social and interactive Wattpad platform is very popular with mobile users. Currently, almost two thirds of our usage is generated from mobile phones and tablets. With the launch of the Kindle Fire at such an affordable price point, we expect to see a sharp uptake in the percentage of tablet users” explains Ivan Yuen, CTO of Wattpad.
