Hello, Pilipinas! - Wattpad partners with Summit Media
Wattpad has just entered into a partnership with Summit Media, one of the Philippines’ leading book publishers. A very large portion of the Wattpad community calls the Philippines home, and with this partnership, Summit Media’s Pop Fiction imprint becomes Wattpad’s preferred publishing partner in the Philippines.
“We are very excited about this partnership because it will help us identify possible break-out works more quickly and will help us market the books to Wattpad’s huge following,” says Lisa Gokongwei-Cheng, Summit Media President.
Pop Fiction and Wattpad will work closely together to develop and market books from the stories that are most-loved by millions of Filipino Wattpadders.
"Wattpad wants to connect the world through stories. Summit Media’s far-reaching distribution channels will connect popular Wattpad writers with even more readers around the country, and the world,” said Allen Lau, Wattpad CEO and co-founder.
The two companies will begin their partnership by naming ten new writers in May that will be published within the year.
