Congratulations to the 2016 Watty Award Winners

The Wattys set record engagement with 140,000 entries and 13 billion minutes spent

Wattpad has hosted The Wattys since 2010, and today it is the world’s largest online writing contest. With a whopping 140,000 entries submitted, the 2016 edition of The Wattys has smashed engagement records and almost doubled the number of submissions compared to last year.

This year, Wattpad accepted submissions in more languages than ever and brought on a regional sponsor in the Philippines through fastfood giant Jollibee. New categories like Trailblazer and Visual Storytelling also spurred unique creativity on Wattpad.

Winners of these categories include comics like The Free Willies and screenplays like The Other Worlders. Today, you can check out all the winners of this massive global celebration.
