Syfy’s original series, The Magicians, offers storytellers on Wattpad a chance to win $10,000 and have their submission turned in a digital short! The deadline for submissions is February 8th at 11:59 p.m PST and full contest details are available, here.

Based on Lev Grossman's best-selling books, The Magicians starts in Brakebills University, a secret institution specializing in magic. There, amidst an unorthodox education of spellcasting, a group of twenty-something friends soon discover that a magical fantasy world they read about as children is all too real- and poses grave danger to humanity.

The #BattleTheBeast contest on Wattpad challenges entrants to create an original 1,500 word story describing a battle between the series protagonists and it’s mysterious villain, The Beast. To submit, tag your Wattpad story with #BattleTheBeast and share a link to your finished work in the comment section of this story.

Ten finalists will have their stories reviewed by Syfy’s judging panel that includes the series creator, Lev Grossman! The winner will be announced on February 23rd, 2017.
