SOCIAL MEDIA PHENOM NOAH BECK TO STAR IN AND PRODUCE ROMANTIC FEATURE ‘THE QB BAD BOY AND ME’ ALONGSIDE CREATOR+, AND WATTPAD WEBTOON STUDIOS

A TRUE STORY OF LOVE, FINDING ONE’S SELF, AND BREAKING STEREOTYPES

The internet’s favorite boy next door and athlete, Noah Beck, is set to headline the romantic comedy, The QB Bad Boy and Me, marking his feature acting debut. Creator+, a new content studio and distribution platform for digital-first storytellers and creators, will produce alongside Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, the fan-driven global entertainment and publishing arm for WEBTOON and Wattpad.

The QB Bad Boy and Me is based on Tay Marley’s Wattpad sensation of the same name, which currently has over 30 million reads on the platform and the published novel has been one of the top-selling titles from Wattpad Books. Writer Mary Gulino (Disney+'s Haley's On It, Amazon’s Upload) will adapt for the screen.

Impassioned by the art of dance and driven by its means to help her escape a sleepy small town, high school cheerleader Dallas Bryan is intent on receiving a coveted dance scholarship at CalArts, and nothing - or no one - is going to stand in her way. That is… until the star high school quarterback, Drayton Lahey (Beck) crashes into her life.

Beck has quickly established himself as one of today’s most sought-after multi-hyphenate creatives. The social media sensation, with over 45 million combined followers, has continually distinguished himself as an actor, model, athlete and entrepreneur, solidifying his mark on the industry. Beck currently serves as Executive Producer and can be seen in the second season of his own series with Paramount and Awesomeness, Noah Beck Tries Things, and most recently made his scripted acting debut in the hit Nickelodeon series, Side Hustle. He additionally has expanded his presence into other arenas and launched his first podcast, Put a Sock In It, which he hosts alongside content creator and recording artist, Larri “Larray” Merritt.

Aron Levitz and Lindsey Weems Ramey from Wattpad WEBTOON Studios are set to produce alongside Adam Wescott, Nick Phillips, and McKenna Marshall from Creator+, with production scheduled to begin this summer. Beck will also produce with his manager Maxwell Mitcheson serving as executive producer.

Creator+’s inaugural feature, the psychological thriller, Jane (early 2022), stars Madelaine Petsch (Riverdale), who’s also producing; 5x Grammy-nominated singer songwriter, pop-infused R&B sensation Chlöe Bailey (part of the sister duo Chloe X Halle); Melissa Leo, who won an Oscar for the Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for The Fighter, Ian Owens; and model Chloe Yu.

Additional productions include comedy Diamond in the Rough (Summer 2022), starring actress Samantha Boscarino (Disney’s Good Luck Charlie), and TikTok megastar, entrepreneur and former Sway House member Griffin Johnson (Ridiculousness), who stars and also produced.

The QB Bad Boy and Me follows a string of hit romance adaptations from Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, which has established itself as one of the most in-demand sources for romance and New Adult hits. Among the 100+ projects in development or production around the world, Wattpad WEBTOON Studios executive produces the Netflix Original Film sensation  A través de mi ventana (Through My Window), from Wattpad author Ariana Godoy. The film reached #1 in 22 regions on Netflix and a Top 10 in 85 regions, generating more than 33 million viewing hours in its first weekend on Netflix. Two sequels in the franchise are currently in development.
