KB Nam Named President of Wattpad and YONDER

As President of WEBTOON’s growing webnovel businesses, KB Nam will lead teams at both companies through the next phase of their evolution

TORONTO - April 20, 2023 - Wattpad, the global entertainment company and leading webnovel platform, has elevated KB Nam to President following his appointment as Interim President in December 2022. Effective immediately, Nam will also oversee the YONDER serialized fiction app as President. Nam will continue to report to Ken Kim, President of WEBTOON Americas.

Under Nam’s leadership, the teams at Wattpad and YONDER will focus on new Content, Creator, and Product initiatives to educate and empower more writers to build a global audience for their work and monetize across parent company WEBTOON’s IP & Creator Ecosystem.  

A seasoned executive and respected leader, Nam brings deep experience in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Product Marketing, Growth, and Digital Advertising. Prior to his appointment as Interim President of Wattpad, Nam was the Head of Strategy and Research at NAVER WEBTOON, where he set business goals and managed high-performing teams responsible for strategy, operations, partnerships, and investments.
