Wattpad WEBTOON Studios Partners with Zeta Studios and Beta Fiction Spain for Theatrical Film Adaptation of Ariana Godoy’s “Sigue Mi Voz”
The project is the latest adaptation for Godoy, the Wattpad author behind the global webnovel sensation “A Través De Mi Ventana”
LOS ANGELES AND MADRID - July 11, 2022 - Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, the fan-driven global entertainment and publishing arm for WEBTOON and Wattpad, alongside leading Spanish production companies Zeta Studios, the producers behind Netflix’s global Spanish-language television sensation “Elite,” and Beta Fiction Spain, the Spanish subsidiary of the Beta Film group, today announced their partnership to produce a film adaptation of “Sigue Mi Voz,” Ariana Godoy’s hit Spanish-language Wattpad webnovel. It will be the first Spanish production from Wattpad WEBTOON Studios to premiere in theaters.
“Sigue Mi Voz” has more than 28 million reads on Wattpad, where Godoy has more than two million followers and is one of the platform’s most influential authors. Godoy has written over 20 published webnovels in English and Spanish on Wattpad, accumulating more than 850 million reads online. Her biggest hit, the global webnovel sensation “A Través De Mi Ventana,” has over 370 million reads online. Godoy’s published novels have sold more than one million copies around the world. “Sigue Mi Voz” has also been published by Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial and was one of the most sought-after books during this year’s Madrid Book Fair.
“Sigue Mi Voz” is Godoy’s most personal story to date, following Klara and her search for love, identity and self-acceptance. After a mental health crisis that keeps her home for 76 days straight, Klara does nothing except listen to her favorite radio program, ‘Sigue Mi Voz.’ But one day she wonders: is it possible to fall in love with someone that she’s heard on the radio but never met? Can she really have feelings for Kang, the radio show host and someone whose voice she’s only ever heard, and will she overcome her fears and step back out into the world?

Wattpad WEBTOON Studios announced development on the film late last year with Inés Pintor and Pablo Santidrián (Netflix’s “El tiempo que te doy”) tapped as the film’s writers and directors. Aron Levitz, Lindsey Weems Ramey and Bego Robles will executive produce for Wattpad WEBTOON Studios. Robles, Director of International Development and Production for Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, will also oversee development for the film in Spain. Antonio Asensio and Paloma Molina will produce for Zeta Studios and Mercedes Gamero and Pablo Nogueroles for Beta Fiction Spain.
