Wattpad Releases App for Samsung

April 26, 2011 – Wattpad has released a bada app for the Samsung App Store.

The Wattpad app is among the top ten free eReading apps in the Apple App Store and a leading app for Nokia Ovi, BlackBerry App World and various Android App Stores, including Amazon’s Android App Store.

As the bada platform continues to see incredible growth, crossing the 100 Million downloads milestone in March, we’re excited to make our interactive eReading and online writing app available to these users.

We have always aimed to be completely platform agnostic and we are thrilled to be extending our customized app experience to bada customers. In particular, Samsung’s strong presence in the International smartphone market is a great fit for Wattpad, as we continue to see double-digit growth in the number of Spanish language users.

During the past year, the Wattpad app has been downloaded for free an average of over 1 million times per month, as readers search out new content and for ways to connect with writers and fellow readers.

Our app is now available on all major phone types as well as 1,000 additional mobile phone and tablet models and a mobile optimized website.
