Breaking Records, “Turn On” Becomes The Most-Watched Vidio Original Series in 2021
Vidio, Screenplay Films, and Wattpad have also announced that the show will return for a second season.
JAKARTA, March 24, 2021 – Vidio has welcomed 2021 with a bang! “Turn On,” Vidio’s latest Originals Series released has reached a record 10 million views* and growing in Q1 2021. Launched in January 2021, “Turn On” is Vidio’s number one most-watched title of the year so far, outperforming three other Vidio Originals released in Q1. With fans clamoring for more, Vidio, Screenplay Films, and Wattpad today also announced that “Turn On” has been greenlit for a second season.
“Turn On’s” eighth and S1 finale episode was released on 4 March as a livestream, including a meet-and-greet party with select members of the cast. The viral season finale event saw over more than 5,000 comments posted in less than four hours after the episode was released online. With a second season now in the works, fans won’t have long to wait to see what’s next for the sexiest and most romantic couple to appear on their screens again.
Vidio Original Series “Turn On” is the first of multiple collaborations between Vidio, Screenplay Films and Wattpad. “Turn On” is an adaptation of the hit Wattpad story by Tiara Wales with over 17.5 million reads to date. In “Turn On,” Andreas (Giorgino Abraham) is a man with a cold attitude towards dating after being betrayed by his ex-lover. After a misunderstanding, he marries Maria (Clara Bernadeth) who helps him rediscover his identity as a man. However, their happiness doesn’t last long when Andreas' past returns.
