Wattpad and WEBTOON today announced that the companies will merge their studio divisions to create Wattpad WEBTOON Studios. Leveraging the passionate global fandoms from WEBTOON and Wattpad’s combined audience of more than 166 million people, Wattpad WEBTOON Studios will create the world’s most innovative multi-format studio making global fan and data-driven TV shows, films, and books.

Leone Film Group and Wattpad will develop The Bad Boy’s Girl as a feature film. Based on Blair Holden’s Wattpad sensation of the same name, The Bad Boy's Girl is one of the most popular stories on the platform, with more than 220 million reads.

The hit Vidio Original series “Turn On,” based on the hit Wattpad story of the same name, has reached a record 10 million viewers and growing in Q1 2021. With fans clamoring for more, Vidio, Screenplay Films, and Wattpad today also announced that “Turn On” has been greenlit for a second season.
