Nadie es perfecto and Wattpad WEBTOON Studios announce theatrical adaptation of Mala influencia, the successful youth novel written by Teensspirit.
The independent production company Nadie es perfecto together with mexican co-producers The42Film and Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, the fan-driven global entertainment and publishing arm for WEBTOON and Wattpad, announce adaptation of bestselling teen novel Mala influencia, written by Teensspirit in the world's leading social storytelling platform, Wattpad. The film will be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Roger Gual (Marea alta, Fanático, El desorden que dejas), with a script from Antón Goenechea (Marea alta, Ciudad mágica, Luis Miguel: la serie).
In Mala influencia, our protagonists Cris and Eros, know their love is impossible, she had a sheltered childhood whilst he is an orphan that everyone considers a bad influence. Together they will have to unveil all their secrets from the past if they want to save their lives and relationship. With more than 41.6 million views on Wattpad, Mala Influencia has built a massive fanbase all over the world.

Nadie es Perfecto works with the most relevant distributors and platforms in the country and has more than 25 productions, including films, documentaries and TV series. Its works include box office hits such as Perfectos desconocidos; films that were well received at festivals such as El bar and Pieles; and TV series with historic ratings, such as Tarancón. Their most recent release has been El juego de las llaves, in co-production with Atresmedia Cine and Warner Bros. Spain, directed by Vicente Villanueva and with Fernando Guallar, Eva Ugarte, Miren Ibarguren and Tamar Novas among others.
They currently have a project in post-production, Fenómenas, inspired by the mythical Grupo Hepta, directed by Carlos Theron and starring Belen Rueda, Gracia Olayo, Toni Acosta and Emilio Gutiérrez Caba. They also have two more in pre-production; La navidad en sus manos, in co-production with Bowfinger and Esto También Pasará, directed by Joaquín Mazón, starring Ernesto Sevilla and with special collaboration from Santiago Segura; and Locomía, directed by Kike Maillo, starring Jaime Lorente and Alberto Ammann.
Spanish-language content is the second largest category on Wattpad and has foundenormous success on screens from Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, including the Netflix Original Film sensation A través de mi ventana (Through My Window), from author Ariana Godoy. The film spent 13 weeks in the Netflix global Top 10 (Non-Eng Film), Netflix recently announced the sequel A través del mar. Lindsey Weems Ramey, Bego Robles, and Carla Zeller will oversee the project for Wattpad WEBTOON Studios.
