Wattpad WEBTOON Studios Expands Global Entertainment Group, Adding Jason Goldberg as Director of Film for North America, Danni Xin as Television Development Executive
The hires follow a string of major additions for Wattpad WEBTOON Studios in 2022
Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, the fan-driven global entertainment and publishing arm for WEBTOON and Wattpad, today announced that Jason Goldberg has joined the company as Director of Film, North America and Danni Xin also has joined the studio as a Television Development Executive.
Goldberg will report to Head of Global Film Lindsey Weems Ramey, supporting all aspects of development and production across the studio's North American film business. Goldberg will join the team on the recently announced feature film adaptation of Gina Musa’s Boot Camp, starring Drew Ray Tanner, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Ennis Esmer and Rachel Boudwin.
Goldberg was most recently at Gunpowder & Sky where he served as Vice President of Scripted Film & TV, supervising all scripted development and managing the company's comedy deal with Paramount. He has also held executive roles at MTV Studios and VH1 in addition to positions at HBO and Lee Daniels Entertainment.

As part of the studio’s growing television division under Sera Tabb’s leadership as Head of Global Television, Danni Xin has been hired as TV Development Executive. Xin will work with Tabb to manage the studio’s growing slate of series adaptations from WEBTOON digital comics and Wattpad webnovels.
Prior to Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, Xin worked in original series development at Topic Studios and most recently was a Creative Executive Fellow within Film Independent's prestigious Project Involve diversity and mentoring program for 2022.
